Assistant Manager/ Manager, Credit Operations/ Underwriting

Responsibilities:

  • To support, review and approve the request for trading limits of clients and Dealer Representative’s (”DR”) setting of user limits;
  • To work on Credit underwriting related tasks which include CTOS/Bankruptcy search, credit evaluation, margin renewal, periodic monitoring/ reviewing of credit position, risk assessment and reporting to regulators/ management;
  • To prepare credit paper for Share Margin Financing accounts;
  • Perform CTOS/CCRIS/Bankruptcy search Review on clients/guarantors based on CTOS Monitoring List;
  • To perform other Credit related review annually and periodically;
  • Review, propose or approve (where applicable) on the application for a trading facility and matter related to Client’s trading account, checking client KYC;
  • Process, verify or approve or obtain approval for request for contract amendment, revision of brokerage, buying in position and error account;
  • Daily review and approved client’s request for fund transfer between accounts and to perform the trading limit adjustment;
  • To perform trades monitoring and prepare daily reports to Bursa Malaysia;
  • Process DBT request and monitor daily force selling, execution of DBT and margin financing facility;
  • Monitor and follow-up client’s outstanding losses with DRs;
  • Process the request of withdrawal of the clients/Dealer Representative ’s collateral and to ensure that the necessary limit and the account was satisfactory reviewed and approved;
  • Review and monitor DR’s security deposit meets their trading requirement and according to company’s Policies & Procedures;
  • Prepare and verify monthly DR’s commission report for approval
  • Ensures all margin legal documentations are properly executed by clients and witnessed by DRs;
  • Monitoring of clients’ margin accounts and ensure clients’ margin accounts are well conducted with margin shortfall rectified within the stipulated margin call period.
  • Monitor to ensure force-selling is instituted by DRs to rectify the margin call position within the stipulated time given;
  • To monitor branch single securities exposure and designated securities;
  • To perform periodic review of margin accounts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in any related fields with minimum 3-5 years of experience in Credit Control/Underwritting from Stock Broking company or Investment Bank.
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal and networking skill.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities and ability to offer operational solutions.
  • Detail oriented and willingness to explore new challenges for continuous improvement.
