Senior Executive – Risk Management

Responsibilities: Senior Executive – Risk Management 

The duties of the Senior Executive / Executive, Risk Management include but not limited to the following:

  1. Support the Risk Support the Risk Manager in the overall development, implementation and maintenance of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), Crisis Management Plan and Business Continuity Management (BCM) and providing guidance to the risk owners on risks that may impact achievement of company’s objective.
  2. To collate and analyze the results of Key Risk Indicators (KRI) and conduct assurance reviews on a half yearly basis.
  3. To facilitate in compilation of data/statistics for Investment Managers Insurance and AML/CFT Business-based Approach (BbRA).
  4. To assist in the implementation of Corruption/Integrity Risk Assessment.
  5. To facilitate in the preparation of risk report for the Audit, Risk Management and Compliance Committee (ARMC), Board and Management Meeting.
  6. To conduct annual review and provide rating to all policies & procedures and manual so as to ensure they are in compliance with the required standards and regulatory requirements.
  7. Identify, analyze, treat and monitor emerging risks, trends and potential exposures;
  8. Ensure that the control activities identified to mitigate inherent risks are incorporated into the respective department operations manual.
  9. Support development and ongoing implementation of Business Continuity Management (BCM) plans which include:
  • IT Disaster Recovery Plan;
  • Business Continuity Plan (BCP); and,
  • Crisis Management
  1. Ensure all audit findings pertaining to risk management are closed in a timely manner.
  2. Assist in preparing and analyzing incident and error report.
  3. Undertake any assignments as instructed by the management/ Board of Directors.

Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent. Professional Risk Management certification is an added advantage.
  • 2 – 5 years of experience within risk function and good understanding of ISO 31000 risk management standard, framework/processes (added advantage if Capital Markets related)
  • Proven analytical and reporting experience in similar role.
  • Ability to communicate confidently at all levels of organization.
  • Desire to develop risk management knowledge further.
  • Preferably knowledge of the risk and governance process within financial industry.
  • Possess Risk/BCP certification (e.g. BRM, CRMA, etc.) will be an added advantage.
